Becom vs Todoist
Todoist is a better task manager than Becom, and we are not going to pretend otherwise — natural-language capture, filters, boards, integrations and a decade of refinement on one job.
The question is whether tasks are what you are actually missing. A finished to-do list tells you the day went well; it does not tell you whether the year is.
| Todoist | Becom | |
|---|---|---|
| Capturing tasks | Its strongest suit: quick add with natural language, recurring due dates, reminders. | Tasks with priorities, due dates and recurring rules — enough for a personal list, not a project system. |
| Organising work | Projects, sections, sub-tasks, labels, filters and list, board or calendar views. | One list for today, with each task attachable to the goal it serves. |
| Habits | A recurring task can stand in for one; there is no streak or completion rate. | Habits as their own thing: weekday schedules, streaks, completion rates, reminders. |
| Goals | A project can represent a goal, tracked by how many tasks are left. | Goals with milestones, target dates, photos and an on-track status of their own. |
| Money | Not what it is for. | A monthly Wealth Planner: income, fixed costs, loans and EMIs, investments, spending and your savings rate. |
| Journal and reflection | Not what it is for. | A guided daily journal, plus a bucket list and a vision board built from your goals. |
| Teams and integrations | Shared projects, comments, and integrations with dozens of other tools. | Personal only. No team workspace, and the only optional connection is read-only Google Calendar. |
| Price | A free plan, with paid tiers for more. | 30-day free trial, then ₹199/month or ₹1,899/year for everything. |
Choose Todoist if…
- your problem is the sheer number of tasks, and you need filters and views to survive it;
- you share work with colleagues, or you live inside integrations and automations;
- you already have habits, money and reflection handled elsewhere.
Choose Becom if…
- you finish your tasks and still feel like the year is drifting;
- you want the habits, the goal and the money that funds it on one dashboard;
- you are personally organised and do not need a project manager for your own life.
Questions people ask
Can Becom replace Todoist?
For a personal to-do list, usually yes — Becom has tasks with priorities, due dates and recurring rules. If you run projects with other people, depend on filters and labels, or wire tasks into other tools, keep Todoist; it is far stronger there.
Can I use both?
Yes, and some people do: Todoist for the working day, Becom for the habits, goals, journal and money underneath it. Nothing in Becom expects to be your only app.
Is a recurring task the same as a habit?
Not quite. A recurring task reappears and is either done or overdue. A habit is measured over time — how many of the last thirty days, what the streak is, which weekdays it is meant for — and that history is the point of tracking it at all.
Does Becom import my Todoist tasks?
Not yet. Most people start with the handful of things that actually matter this week, which takes a couple of minutes.
