Becom vs Google Keep
Google Keep is superb at one thing: getting something out of your head in about three seconds, on any device, for free. Nothing here is an argument against that.
It becomes a problem only when a note quietly turns into a system — a checklist you tick and reset each morning, a note called “goals 2026”, another with the EMIs in it. Capture is not the same as tracking, and Keep was never built to be.
| Google Keep | Becom | |
|---|---|---|
| Writing something down | As fast as it gets — notes, checklists, voice, photos, all free. | Quick add for a task, habit, goal or journal entry; a few taps, not one. |
| A habit over time | A checklist you tick and untick. Yesterday leaves no trace. | Each day recorded, with streaks, completion rates and the month behind it. |
| Goals | A note, kept up to date by hand. | Milestones, target dates, photos and a percentage that moves by itself. |
| Money | A note with numbers in it, and no arithmetic. | Income, fixed costs, loans and EMIs, investments and spending, with totals and a savings rate. |
| Reminders | Time and place reminders, and they work well. | Habit reminders on a schedule, on your phone. |
| Looking back | Search across notes; no history of what changed when. | Progress charts, journal entries by date, and every month of finances kept. |
| Cost | Free with a Google account. | 30 days free, then ₹199/month or ₹1,899/year. |
Choose Google Keep if…
- you want somewhere to dump a thought before it disappears;
- your lists are shopping, packing and errands rather than a plan;
- free and already on your phone is the whole requirement.
Choose Becom if…
- your Keep notes have become a planning system nobody designed;
- you want to know how often you actually did the thing, not just that it is on a list;
- the money, the goal and the habit keep ending up in three different notes.
Questions people ask
Can I use Google Keep as a habit tracker?
You can tick a checklist each day, but Keep does not remember that you did — untick it and yesterday is gone. Without a record there is no streak, no completion rate and nothing to look back on, which is most of what makes tracking a habit useful.
Should I keep using Keep alongside Becom?
Plenty of people do, and it is a sensible split: Keep for capture, Becom for anything you want to measure over time. Nothing in Becom expects to be your notes app.
Does Becom work with my Google account?
You can sign in with Google, and you can optionally connect Google Calendar so your events appear beside your goals, habits and tasks — read-only, and your events are not stored in our database. Keep itself is not connected.
Is Becom free like Keep?
No. Becom is ₹1,899 a year or ₹199 a month after a 30-day trial, with no card taken up front. The free calculators and the Learning Hub stay free for anyone.

Google Keep and Google Calendar are trademarks of Google LLC. Becom is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Keep's capabilities above are taken from Google's own product documentation, checked in September 2026. If a notes app is all you need, these journal prompts work just as well pasted into one.
When a note becomes a plan
Becom keeps what a note cannot: the record of what you did, the goal it was for, and the month that paid for it.
